Hennessey Just Built the GMC Sierra GMC Never Dared To Make

Hennessey loves taking already powerful vehicles and turning them into something completely excessive. The new Goliath 700 is exactly that. This time, the company grabbed a GMC Sierra AT4 and gave it enough power to wake the thing up seriously.
Instead of using the diesel engine offered in the Sierra, Hennessey starts with the 6.2-liter V8 and bolts on a huge supercharger. The result is 700 hp and 611 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough for this giant Hennessey Goliath 700 pickup to hit 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, which honestly sounds ridiculous for something this big.

The truck gets more than just extra power, too. Hennessey upgraded parts of the suspension, added new upper control arms, and fitted 20-inch wheels wrapped in chunky 35-inch off-road tires. The excellent Multimatic DSSV shocks from the standard truck stay in place.

You also won’t mistake it for a regular Sierra AT4. The Goliath 700 gets steel bumpers, extra LED lights, power running boards, carbon-fiber accents, and plenty of Hennessey badges. It looks exactly like the kind of truck someone would build after deciding subtlety is overrated.

Inside, the changes are pretty simple. There are embroidered headrests, custom floor mats, and numbered plaques. More than anything, though, this feels like Hennessey building the truck GMC never really made itself: a proper supercharged off-road monster to take on the Ram TRX and Ford Raptor R.
