GR Yaris Becomes Track Monster With Widebody Kit
by AutoExpert | 3 February, 2025
The Toyota GR Yaris is already a beast of a hot hatch with rally-inspired roots, but that hasn’t stopped tuners from cranking up the aggression. Result Japan just took things to a whole new level with their wild widebody kit—and it looks straight out of a video game render.
What makes the car stand out? The car's silhouette is completely transformed by the massive fender flares. The front fenders extend by 90 mm (3.5 inches), while the rear receives an impressive 130 mm (5.1 inches) boost.

The rest of the kit doesn’t hold back either. There’s a large front splitter, a vented hood, and aggressive side skirts that flow perfectly with the widened body. But the real showstopper is at the back: a wild half-spoiler that connects to an optional GT-style wing, giving off serious time-attack vibes. The reworked rear bumper isn’t just for looks either—it houses additional cooling intakes and a sharp new diffuser with aerodynamic extensions.

The demo car boasts a unique exhaust system featuring quad burnished tailpipes, along with additional pipes protruding from the rear bumper for added drama. Whether those extra pipes actually serve a purpose or simply enhance the car's jaw-drop factor is a matter of debate, but the sound is truly remarkable. Pure madness. Unfortunately, the wheels and exhaust setup aren’t part of the standard kit.

Result Japan unveiled the build at the Tokyo Auto Salon, where it shared the spotlight with Toyota Gazoo Racing’s mid-engine GR Yaris prototype. We couldn’t help but wonder—would this widebody kit work on that prototype too? With its massive wing, wide track, and extra cooling, it looks ready to tackle the track as a “hyper hatch.”

If you're eager to own it, you can order the kit now, and shipments will begin in March or April 2025. Pricing starts at ¥594,000 ($3,800) for the basic package. Want the full look? Extras like a vented hood will set you back ¥99,000 ($630), “eyelids” for ¥13,200 ($85), and the GT-style rear wing for ¥198,000 ($1,300). Installation is highly recommended to be handled by pros, and those slick wheels and exhaust? Pricing is still a mystery.

Though the demo car was a pre-facelift 2021 model, the kit works with all GR Yaris versions as long as you use the facelifted front bumper. For those looking for a more subtle vibe, Result Japan also offers a tamer version without the wide fenders and an alternative rear wing.
