Fox Factory Builds 705-HP Jeep Wrangler Commando For U.S. Veterans

Fox Factory Vehicles is celebrating Veterans Day in style with a new limited-edition off-roader—the Jeep Wrangler Commando. Based on the Wrangler Rubicon 392, it’s a ready-to-go machine built to tackle anything, all while paying tribute to those who serve.
The Commando stands out right away with its steel front bumper and grille guard, high-top steel fenders, and tubular doors, all painted in a military-inspired ’41 Green. There’s also a Bimini top, Commando decals on the hood, and the option to add a 12,000-pound Warn winch for serious recovery work.

It’s not just a styling package either. The Jeep Wrangler Commando gets a 3.5-inch JKS lift kit, Fox 3.0 internal bypass shocks with remote reservoirs, a Fox ATS steering stabilizer, and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels wrapped in 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. Everything about it screams “built for adventure.”

Inside, it’s rugged but still comfortable. The seats are finished in tan leather with Commando logos stitched into the backrests, and there’s a digital rearview mirror plus a dashboard-mounted accessory rail for extra gear. The spare tire now sits inside the cargo area.

Power comes from Jeep’s 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. For those who want even more, there’s an optional Whipple supercharger that cranks output up to 705 horsepower and 655 lb-ft of torque. You can also add a Magnaflow exhaust to complete the package.

Pricing for the Commando 392 starts at $69,995. Only 250 will be built, and 249 of them are reserved exclusively for veterans and active-duty service members, who’ll need to apply and share their personal story to get one. The final unit will go to auction for the public.
