The new Cadillac Escalade V starts at $151,090, but if you don't want to spend that much, Hennessey has released a supercharger kit for the standard Escalade.

A 2.9-liter supercharger, an intercooler, better pushrods, improved engine management, and a stainless steel cat-back exhaust system are all part of the "H650" upgrade package.

With these additions, the Escalade's standard 6.2L V8 goes from producing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque to 650 horsepower and 658 pound-feet of torque. It now takes 5.3 seconds to get from 0 to 60 mph, which is 0.8 seconds quicker than stock but 0.9 seconds slower than the V.

You can start with an Escalade with four-wheel drive as a donor vehicle, and at only $27,950, this package represents a significant discount. Hennessey says the modification works with the 6.2-liter V8 used in the Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon.
