Dytko Sport Transforms Toyota GR Yaris With Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Drivetrain Swap

The Toyota GR Yaris stands out as an impressive rally machine, boasting a potent turbocharged engine and an advanced all-wheel-drive system. However, for those who find the stock Toyota components lacking, Dytko Sport has introduced a compelling solution. We are talking about a complete swap with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution drivetrain!

Dytko Sport, a speed shop based in Poland renowned for their expertise in fitting Evo powertrains into various vehicles, has recently crafted a remarkable example.

This example, a widened red Yaris, was specifically constructed for rally driver Kuba Greguła. It showcases a brand-new drivetrain rooted in the architecture of a Lancer Evolution. Under the hood resides a 4B11T turbocharged inline-four sourced from an Evolution X.

Drenth developed a six-speed sequential transmission to go with this engine, which enables power distribution to Drenth differentials on both axles. While the power output remains undisclosed, it's reasonable to assume that this Toyota GR Yaris surpasses the factory-rated 268 horsepower.

Inside, the red Yaris boasts a FIA-spec roll cage, OMP racing seats, harnesses, carbon fiber door panels, and a fire suppression system. Noteworthy additions include a visually striking shifter mechanism, a digital gauge cluster screen, and an upgraded steering wheel.
