David Brown Automotive Introduces Mini eMastered: An All-Electric Classic With 110-Mile Range

David Brown Automotive, renowned for its restomods, has taken a groundbreaking step with the unveiling of its first all-electric vehicle—the Mini eMastered. This new offering captures the essence of the classic Mini while introducing the advantages of electric propulsion.

One of the classic Mini's defining traits has always been its lightweight and compact size. To preserve these characteristics, David Brown Automotive has equipped the Mini eMastered with a compact 18.8 kWh battery pack.

This battery powers a 97-hp electric motor that provides 129 lb-ft (175 Nm) of torque. The electric motor enables the car to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 8.5 seconds, with a top speed of 92 mph (148 km/h).

Despite the small battery size, the Mini eMastered promises a useful range of 110 miles (177 km) and supports 6.6 kW AC charging. With a typical home wall box charger, the car can be fully recharged in approximately 3 hours. Remarkably, the vehicle weighs only 1,410 lbs (640 kg)—the same as its combustion engine predecessor.

Beyond the revolutionary electric powertrain, David Brown Automotive has enriched the Mini eMastered with various other enhancements.

The exterior receives an update featuring a color-matched front grille and a vibrant orange roof. Inside, the cabin is redefined with brown leather seats, a wooden-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, a Pioneer infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an array of bespoke aluminum switches.
