Carpoint Teases Sporty, Lowered Dacia Duster With Bold Design

The third-generation Dacia Duster, introduced in early 2024, has been a hit, but the tuner world has been slow to jump on the bandwagon—until now. German dealer Carpoint, known for their special edition Dacia projects, has taken the plunge, giving a preview of a sportier, more aggressive take on the Duster that’s likely to turn some heads.

One of the most noticeable changes is the addition of oversized alloy wheels, probably 20 or 21 inches, wrapped in low-profile tires that are much wider than the stock ones. Along with the new wheels, the Duster’s suspension has been dropped, which might look cool, but it sacrifices the Duster’s 217 mm (8.5 inches) ground clearance, putting off-road adventures off the table.

For now, Carpoint has only teased the Dacia Duster III Carpoint Edition through digital renderings, but the visual overhaul is pretty substantial. The render shows the Duster with a wide body kit, custom wrap, new wheels, and that aggressive lowered stance, turning the once-rugged SUV into something far more imposing on the road. The body kit itself includes bumper extensions at both ends, flared fenders, a hood scoop, and new door trims.

Splashes of red across decorative inlets add an extra pop of style, signaling that this Duster is all about visual impact. Carpoint is keeping the performance upgrades under wraps, hinting at "a few secrets" in the kit that they have yet to reveal.

Hopefully, these aesthetic changes come with a power boost and some chassis tweaks to complement the car’s aggressive new look. Currently, the most powerful engine available for the Duster is a self-charging hybrid, producing a combined 138 horsepower. The mild-hybrid 1.3 TCe with 128 hp offers AWD, a crucial feature for any SUV. However, it's unclear which engine will serve as the foundation for the Carpoint Edition.

Carpoint is known for not just offering customization options but also selling fully equipped models, so don’t be surprised if you see this bold Duster hitting the roads soon.
