C8 Corvette Owners, Rejoice: Competition Carbon Has Designed New, Circular Taillights For Your Car

Customizing a car is a popular hobby among car lovers because it lets them show off their personalities. For those C8 Corvette owners who aren't satisfied with the factory setup, Competition Carbon has developed a replacement set of taillights.

If the new aesthetic seems somewhat familiar, it's because it was inspired by the taillights on the C6. The tuner has developed a working prototype and will start accepting orders next week.

As Competition Carbon's round taillights fit inside the factory taillight housing, there may be some controversy as to whether the circular taillight design goes with the angular aspect of the C8 Corvette. Some would think the car's spherical taillights are out of place, while others could find the homage to past Corvette models to be charming.

An early prototype of the taillights, shown in the image below, featured larger circles that blended in more subtly with the black carbon housing. Now it's up to you to pick your favorite.
