BMW X5 From Manhart Is An Unbelievably Fascinating Thing

Manhart, a German tuning company, is best known for producing lavish versions of already-powerful BMW M and Mercedes-AMG cars. Nevertheless, the new Manhart X5 G05 M50d is a departure in style. The Manhart G05 M50d is based on the X5 before it got a facelift, so it doesn't have the updated looks of the new 2024 X5. No worries there; the classic layout is still stylish and up-to-date.

It's intimidating in all black, with a matching black grille, but you won't see the tuner's signature gold embellishments. Nonetheless, it has several carbon-finished body accessories from Larte Design, such as a multi-piece front spoiler extension, the hood, and the radiator grille elements.

In addition to the new Manhart Classic Line Y-spoke alloy wheels, there are also new mirror caps, frames for the side air outlets in the front wings, as well as attachments for the side skirts. Continental SportContact 7 tires adorn these 23-inch matte black wheels. Apart from adding Manhart floor mats with the tuner's insignia, the inside was left almost untouched.

Behind the hood, even more thrilling alterations lie in wait. One of BMW's finest, its 3.0-liter inline-six diesel engine produced 395 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque. When Manhart needed more power than the X5 M Competition could provide, he contacted experts in Wuppertal, who outfitted an in-house MHtronik auxiliary control unit, boosting outputs to 459 horsepower and 642 pound-feet.

Among the more expensive components are the 23-inch wheels, which cost €7,545 ($8,115), the MHtronik Powerbox, which costs €2,195 ($2,360), and the Larte Design carbon rear diffuser, which costs €3,665 ($3,942).
