AC Schnitzer Boosts New BMW M5 To 799 HP With ECU Tune And Exhaust Upgrade

AC Schnitzer is back at it, turning up the heat on the latest BMW M5 Sedan and Touring with a fresh batch of upgrades. As if BMW’s new 717-hp hybrid M5 wasn’t wild enough, the German tuner is pushing it even further—all the way to 799 hp.
The secret sauce? Some clever ECU software tweaks and a new stainless steel exhaust system. It’s not a night-and-day difference, but you’ll definitely feel the extra muscle when you hit the throttle.

Looks haven’t been ignored either. Both the Sedan and Touring versions get a handful of sharp visual enhancements, starting with aggressive new front splitters and small aero canards to help keep things planted at speed.

A lowering kit drops the ride height by 20 mm; while that may not sound like much, the visual impact is significant. Add a set of AC Schnitzer’s forged AC6 wheels into the mix, and the whole stance transforms completely.

Those wheels come in either a sleek aluminum or gloss black finish, measuring 21×10.5 inches up front (wrapped in 285/35 tires) and 21×11 inches in the back (with 295/35s). If you’d rather keep the stock BMW wheels, no problem. AC Schnitzer also offers 7 mm spacers to help achieve the perfect fit inside the fenders.

At the rear, the updates continue. Both models feature new diffusers. In addition, the Touring gets a beefier roof spoiler, while the Sedan wears a subtle lip spoiler on the trunk. As for the cabin, you can opt for a few premium touches such as aluminum pedals, a stylish key holder, and a metal cover for the iDrive controller. It’s classic AC Schnitzer: sharp performance, clean style, and just enough to stand out without going overboard.
