ABT Can Make Your Cupra Leon More Vibrant Than A VW Golf R

ABT Sportsline has announced a tuning kit for the Cupra Leon, which shares its foundations with the Cupra Formentor. Both the Hatchback and Sportstourer 2.0 TSI body types can benefit from the upgrade, which boosts power and improves performance.

The Cupra Leon e-electrified Hybrid's 1.4 TSI is likely to get an update in the future. Audi S3, VW Golf GTI/R, VW T-Roc R, Skoda Octavia RS, Cupra Leon, and Cupra Formentor, all share the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.

Upgrades to the ECU software allowed the Cupra Leon and Cupra Leon Sportstourer to produce up to 355-hp and 365-hp, respectively. There is 450 Nm of torque in both versions (332 lb-ft). There is a 49-hp and 50 lb-ft of torque increase over the standard versions.

If you'd want a quick refresher, the Leon Hatchback has front-wheel drive, while the Leon Sportstourer features 4drive, which sends power to all four wheels through a 7-speed gearbox. It's unclear what ABT's performance numbers are, but they'll be a little faster than the stock. 

Faster than the AWD Sportstourer, the FWD Hatchback goes from zero to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 5.7 seconds, whereas the AWD Sports ABT Sport GR multispoke alloy wheels in the matte or glossy black finish were fitted to the Cupra Leon, along with 235/30 R20 tires. 

Without installation, the ABT tuning package, which includes a power increase, wheels, and suspension, is available for €5,990 ($7,034).
