LeBron James’ Special-Edition Maybach S 680 Brings Luxury And Charity Together

Most Mercedes-Maybach S-Class owners are happy to let the car do the talking. LeBron James went a different way. His special 2027 Maybach S 680 comes in ivory paint with a bright blue leather cabin, personal logos, and a small tribute to his hometown.
Now, the specially designed Maybach is going up for auction, with proceeds benefiting the LeBron James Family Foundation’s program for students and families in Akron, Ohio.

The sedan was customized through Mercedes’ Manufaktur program and closely matches the Maybach LeBron owns himself. Its non-metallic Light Ivory paint is exclusive to the program, while his personal logo replaces the usual V12 badges on the front fenders. Even the wheels match the body color, giving the big luxury sedan a look that’s hard to miss.

Inside, things get even bolder. Stormy Weather blue Nappa leather covers the seats, door panels, much of the dashboard, and the center tunnel. White stitching adds contrast, while LeBron’s logo appears on the headrests. There’s also a small plaque showing the coordinates of Akron, where he grew up.

Gooding Christie’s will offer the car at its Retromobile New York Auctions event, with proceeds going to the LeBron James Family Foundation’s I PROMISE program. The initiative supports students and their families in the Akron area. For James, the project is personal: he has said that designing his own Maybach was something he never imagined as a kid, and he now wants the auction to help others in his hometown chase their own dreams.

A regular Maybach S 680 starts at $247,250 in the US. Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 producing 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. But here, the blue leather and ivory paint aren’t the main story. The money raised could do far more than make one very lucky buyer’s garage look better.
