Fiat Topolino Arrives In America for $13,995 With A 25-MPH Top Speed
by AutoExpert | 8 July, 2026
A Fiat Topolino in America sounds like something brought home from a European vacation, but Fiat is officially selling the tiny EV here. Prices start at $13,995 before destination, though calling it a normal car would be a stretch. For now, it's aimed at resorts, coastal towns, private communities, and other places where 19 mph is enough.
The Topolino uses a 5.4-kWh battery and can travel up to 46 miles on a charge. Its top speed is initially limited to 19 mph, which keeps it on private property. By the end of summer 2026, Fiat plans to offer a free Low Speed Vehicle conversion kit that raises the limit to 25 mph. It also adds a rearview mirror, backup camera, and pedestrian alert system, allowing the Topolino onto roads with speed limits of up to 35 mph.

The Topolino is just 99 inches long, making it 43.1 inches shorter than the Fiat 500e. It weighs only 1,073 lbs and comes in two versions. The regular model has a closed body, while the Dolcevita adds a roll-back soft top and rope doors for anyone fully committed to the beach-town look. Both come in Verde Vita with 14-inch retro-style wheel covers and LED lights.

The cabin is about as simple as you'd expect. There's a digital gauge display, a phone holder, a few storage areas, and a windshield defroster on the standard version. Charging takes around five hours from a 2.3-kW AC connection. Fiat is also working with Motori & Customs on personalized versions, ranging from mild changes to fully custom one-off builds.

At $13,995, buying a Topolino is more about wanting one than needing one. How many Americans will feel that way?
