Bentley’s Most Romantic SUV Is Japan-Only

In Japan, Bentley unveiled a very special Bentayga that feels more intimate than most limited editions. This one was designed with female buyers in mind, and only ten will be produced.
It is called the Something Blue Collection. The name comes from the old wedding tradition that says a bride should wear something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue for good luck. That custom has become quite popular in Japan, and Bentley decided to build a whole car around the idea of something blue.

The outside looks clean and elegant at first glance. It is painted in a metallic white shade called Ice. However, a subtle blue tone that is concealed in the paint is visible when the light strikes it. The attention to detail is evident in the SUV's 22-inch silver wheels and the brake calipers, which are finished to match the body color.

Inside, the blue theme continues gently. The Bentley wings on the seat backs are stitched in blue thread. Small blue flower designs appear on the dashboard. It adds character without feeling too bold. The rest of the cabin is trimmed in Linen and Graphite Grey leather. The grey leather covers the steering wheel, upper doors, dashboard, and center area around the screen.

The mix of light and dark tones gives the interior a warm and balanced feel. Special door sill plates with the Something Blue Collection name remind you that this is one of only ten cars.

The Bentley Bentayga Something Blue Collection was revealed in Tokyo, and the starting price is 34 million yen, which is about $219,400. Some of the 10 units are already reserved, which is not surprising given how rare they are.

Under the hood, nothing has changed. It still uses the familiar 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 542 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. It can go from zero to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 mph. So, even though the theme is soft and inspired by wedding tradition, the performance remains strong and serious.
