The New Rogue Looks Sharper… and Finally Gets Nissan’s e-Power Hybrid

Here’s the new 2027 Nissan Rogue e-Power, and it feels like a reset for the model. It’s part of Nissan’s next phase, and it arrives later this year in the US and Canada with the e-Power hybrid setup.
Details are still limited, but the design already tells you a lot. It’s sharper, more aggressive, and a lot less safe than before.

Up front, it’s all angles. Slim DRLs sit inside a big blacked-out grille that takes over most of the nose. Lower down, you get triangular intakes and more dark trim. It’s a bold look, even compared to the latest RAV4.
From the side, the body gets strong lines running across the doors, a bit like the Tucson’s approach. Around the back, there’s a gloss-black bumper, detailed LED taillights, and a full-width light bar.

The bigger story is under the hood. This is the first time the Rogue gets Nissan’s e-Power system in North America. It uses a combustion engine, but not in the usual way. The engine acts as a generator, while the wheels are driven only by an electric motor.

Exact specs aren’t out yet, but it’ll likely mirror the X-Trail setup sold elsewhere, with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine as part of the system.
