World's First 'Super-Quad' Is A Machine Powered By A Lamborghini V10

The Engler Automotive Desat, shown at the UK's Salon Prive a few days ago, is touted as the world's first "super-quad," with 1,100 horsepower and a max speed of 217 miles per hour. The headlights and taillights are Audi R8 components. In addition, the company claims that the superquad is propelled by the same 5.2-liter engine as the R8 and the Lamborghini Huracan.

Not all of the information has been made public just yet, but we do know that the V10 has been upgraded to produce 1,100 hp, allowing it to go from 0 to 62 mph in under 2.5 seconds.

However, those who witnessed the car's pre-release in person have noticed that Engler appears to have dropped its 1,100 horsepower figure in favor of a more modest 620 hp. The claimed weight of 2,425 pounds makes it lightweight compared to cars. Engler claims that the superquad is a revolutionary vehicle that combines "the tacticity and visceral involvement of a superbike with the raw speed and drama of a hypercar."

With considerable stability, maneuvering a vehicle is unquestionably a pretty simple task. However, the Engler still lacks a crash framework, rollover hoop, and any other form of safety. There is a long way to go before we can talk about production and cost.
