Tough Next-Gen Toyota Sequoia Is Depicted In Unofficial Renderings

Toyota Sequoia is an illustrious vehicle that hasn't altered much since 2008. It's a Tundra, which has just had a total revamp for the 2022 model year. We anticipate the Tundra's arrival implies Toyota will update the Sequoia. New drawings from Kolesa.ru show a Sequoia based on the latest Tundra.

The third-generation Tundra is boldly styled, especially up front, where a huge grille dominates. Toyota Sequoia drawings keep that, and the vast expanse of darkness is unlikely to delight everyone. Making it an SUV helps to balance off the aggressive grille with extra bulk at the back.

On the other hand, the rear of the drawing appears rather spacious. It's not a lot of alterations needed to turn the Tundra into an SUV, however, we do anticipate the Sequoia's third-row seats having a lower floor to help with cargo access. With an SUV body, the Tundra's blocky rear design fits nicely.

The Tundra is built on Toyota's TNGA-F body-on-frame platform, which also supports the new Land Cruiser. It will also underlie the next-generation Sequoia, which Toyota is slated to show soon. The firm stated last year that it will move Toyota Sequoia manufacture to San Antonio, Texas, in 2022. The 2022 Pickup will join the Toyota Tundra on the manufacturing line before the end of the year.
