This CS Project Could Result In A Stunning BMW 2-Series Coupe

A collaboration between Tom Kvapil and Richer Gear resulted in the CS Project, a futuristic interpretation of the BMW 02 Series from the 1960s. The CS 0.2 is a slim coupe that blends a lot of historical motifs and is billed as a "free time design study."

This can be seen up front, where the vehicle features a retro-inspired grille with a contemporary look. The grille sits above a carbon fiber front splitter and is accompanied by flowing headlamps. The coupe also has a unique front fascia and an edgy accent that runs into the fenders before moving into the shoulder line and extending around the whole car.

The car's sleek appearance extends aft of the A-pillars, with minimalistic side skirts that are seamlessly blended into the svelte bodywork. There are also smart side mirrors, buried door handles, and a fantastic Hofmeister kink rendition. The CS boasts an elegant rear end with full-width taillights and vertical highlights. They're matched by a distinctive bumper with a huge vent.

A floating center console with a clear display separates two individual seats in the cabin. An angled digital instrument cluster and a display that appears to be built into the steering wheel are also seen.

The CS Project is independent research conducted by designers Tom Kvapil and Richer Gear that is neither affiliated with nor approved by BMW.
