Hyundai previewed its huge electric SUV earlier this month with the Seven concept, which teases the production Ioniq 7 full-size SUV. At AutoMobility LA, Hyundai Seven concept was officially revealed in full. "Category-bending" is how Hyundai defines its new SUV, which has a sleek design and a luxurious interior.

Hyundai Seven has huge wheels, no intakes, a low bonnet, and a powerful rear fender structure. These wheels contain active air flaps that can cool the brakes or reduce drag depending on the vehicle's demands. The pixel lighting in the back creates an eye-catching pattern around the rear window.

The Seven has a flat floor and is supported by the E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform). Hyundai was able to develop a distinctive and very adaptable cabin with the help of a long wheelbase. Moreover, even the smaller 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has an extremely versatile cabin, which is clearly a priority for the whole Ioniq line.

The inside of Hyundai Seven departs from the standard three-row configuration found in large SUVs. It has a curving bench seat and swiveling lounge seats alternatively.

Depending on whatever autonomous driving mode is being used, this seating layout can be changed. The driver has a foldable control stick that can be camouflaged when not in use. The pillarless coach doors make it easier to get in and out, despite their heavy appearance.

Additional advanced features include a universal island console, a built-in small fridge, side-door ambient lighting, and a SmartHub graphic user interface. When you look up, you'll notice that the cabin has a vision ceiling with a panoramic OLED screen that displays content or tends to make a brilliant cabin environment.

Hyundai has placed a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability and the creation of a sanitary mobility setting. The Seven has bio-paint on the outside. Bamboo wood, mineral plaster, and interior paint produced from renewable sources are used in the cabin. Interior surfaces are kept clean by hygienically treated and antibacterial cloth.

Also, there is a Hygiene Airflow System, which separates airflow between front and rear-seat passengers while also reducing cross-contamination.

Hyundai Seven

On a full charge, the Seven can travel 300 miles, and a 350-kW charger can bring it from 10% to 80% in roughly 20 minutes. There are no further details about the electric drivetrain, which Hyundai claims features strong performance.

Hyundai Seven and its production spinoff will help the carmaker achieve carbon neutrality by 2045, together with other members of the Ioniq line. Production of Ioniq 7 is scheduled for 2024.
