The Buick Wildcat EV Concept Is Here

The Wildcat, a new electric vehicle concept from Buick, was recently unveiled. If the name seems familiar, it's because the Buick Wildcat was a full-size car that was produced from 1963 to 1970 and was named after a series of 1950s concept cars.

Buick has taken a daring step forward with the Wildcat EV Concept. Buick says that the concept shows the company's future design philosophy, which includes the new three-shield symbol.

To give the design a more expansive appearance, Buick extended the concept's lighting to the outer borders. When the driver arrives, those lights perform a special greeting dance. Blade-style taillights incorporated into the roof, an outer charge gauge, and 18-spoke turbine wheels complete the overall design. According to Buick's design director, Bob Boniface, a rigorous focus on proportions and sculptural beauty is what led to this concept.

There is a huge center console that stretches into the back seat, making the interior look stunning. An infotainment screen, a lower control panel on the center console, and a digital gauge cluster are among the screens featured. Also, Buick added high-tech features to the Wildcat, such as artificial intelligence, biometrics, and aromatherapy.

Buick Wildcat EV is just a concept because we don't know much about its powertrain. For instance, the Opel GT Concept, Cadillac Escala, Elmiraj, and Buick Avista are just a few examples of GM's spectacular concepts that never made it into production. As unlikely as it appears to be, the Wildcat EV reveals that Buick is working on some innovative and brilliant ideas.
