A stunning new concept from BMW previews metropolitan transportation in the year 2040, and it pushes design boundaries once more. For its tiny four-seat electric vehicle, BMW reworked their traditional kidney grilles to include headlights, as on traditional BMWs, and claimed that the kidneys' surfaces may be used to show graphics.

Anodized light-gold aluminium rather than painting is used for the Hofmeister kink, which now has a slim digital surface. However, the main goal is sustainability, not appearance.

BMW i Vision Circular concept car is manufactured from recyclable materials and can be recycled at the end of its useful life, including the battery. To reach climate neutrality throughout a car's life, BMW thinks the manner a car is built is as crucial as its emissions.

Aside from substituting combustion engines with electric energy, the company also wants to improve the quality of materials and production. By 2030, the corporation aims to reduce harmful emissions by 40%. Recycled aluminum and steel elements, as well as a solid-state battery constructed from recyclable materials can be re-used at the end of the car's life.

According to BMW, the car's battery will be capable of transmitting undesired electricity back to the grid. The tires are manufactured from verified sustainable natural rubber with colorful recycled rubber particles that provide strength and offer a distinctive aesthetic. Electric BMWs are expected to have car-to-grid capabilities in the future, however it may be a while before we see something with a cabin as beautiful as the Circular's.

Instead of using traditional gauges, the cabin opts for a head-up display that appears to be a big slab of Kryptonite on the dashboard, which uses light effects to illustrate how the car works. Inside, BMW i Vision Circular concept is also unusual for its absence of visible screens.

The seats are lavender-colored recycled plastic, and the square steering wheel is 3D-printed from bio-based product, in this case, wood powder, making it look like a BMW M. We should expect to see many of its sustainability principles trickle into BMW's showroom items in the future years, even though the i Vision Circular is only a concept car.
