Did you know that Polestar has only one battery-electric model on sale? And they have released so far, the Polestar 2 which is now in dealerships and, the next project is the production of the Precept concept to debut next year. Polestar is mainly famous for its car sustainability. Now the Swedish carmaker’s plans are to extend when it announced the world's first climate-neutral car by 2030.

Dubbed Polestar 0, the company brings a fresh point of view and is one of the first automakers to actually come with away the future vehicles are made. Partnering up with blockchain provider Circulor will help to provide even greater transparency regarding the sourcing of raw materials such as nickel, graphite, and lithium.

The idea of a new climate-neutral car surfaced after acknowledging that mining these rare-earth minerals necessary to build the cars, can cause serious environmental damage and infringe upon human rights. Transparency is the new essential moto of the Polestar, is essential.

Circulor will bring blockchain traceability and C02e tracking in order to see the embedded emissions that are created during the production process, including at the production facility and from suppliers. Circulor's offers a greenhouse tracking solution, exposing every part of the vehicle production process beginning to end with its C02 footprint.

According to Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath, caring about ethics and the environment is key to Polestar. “This unprecedented level of traceability means that Polestar can promote sustainable and ethical practices in its supply chain, and provide better transparency for consumers,” stated Ingenlath.

This an example to be followed for those who pretend to create friendly environment vehicles, but forget that in the process of creating them, they might as well pollute the environment before letting them go off the production line. Now, transparency leads to better regulation. It will let know of EV buyers’ concerns toward both environmental and human rights issues, so this new blockchain tracing should ease their worries.
