Opel Rocks E-Xtreme Is The Craziest Electric Heavy Quadricycle You'll Ever See

Opel Rocks-e, a rebranded variant of the Citroen Ami purely electric heavy quadricycle, was introduced around two weeks ago. Both cars are full of peculiarities and look like toy cars in real life. As a result, industrial design student Lukas Wenzhöfer was able to develop and build the Opel Rocks e-xtreme in one week.

When it comes to the new Opel Rocks-e, Wenzhöfer, who is presently studying at the School of Design at Pforzheim University in Germany, says: "Why not go fully mad?"

Even though he kept all of the original Rocks-panels, he added off-road tires, a higher suspension with loads of ultra-wide tracks to his version. These wheels are extending from all four corners of the vehicle.

In terms of protecting the cabin from a rollover accident, a tubular framework was constructed to the greenhouse's peak. Because it protrudes several inches above the car's roof, the big rear wing, which is supposed to provide a lot of downforces, would be the most severely damaged.

However, the designer chose to incorporate LED headlights and taillights that are more in line with the current Opel aesthetic rather than the Citron-derived components of the actual car. For an adventurous aesthetic, he also installed roof-mounted LEDs and aluminum-style skid plates. In the end, the cool livery consists of a combination of black, yellow, and cyan.

A concrete skateboard track would be a perfect place for the Opel Rocks e-xtreme. As the car falls under hard braking, the suspension appears to be fairly soft. We guess that the e-xtreme variant of the Rock-e will be equipped with an enhanced engine to better complement its character while maintaining its low weight of roughly 425 kg (937 lbs).
