As part of its preparation for the Japan Mobility Show 2023, Nissan has introduced its second electric vehicle concept: the Hyper Adventure Concept. Built with the outdoor enthusiast in mind, this blue crossover is packed with innovations designed for weekend getaways or extended trips in remote locations.

Advanced V2X Capability

One of the concept's most interesting features is its Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) capability. Although Nissan hasn't revealed the exact capacity of the high-voltage battery, the automaker assures that the vehicle can export power to a variety of appliances.

Whether it's a kettle for making tea or your entire home through Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), or even to the grid via Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), the Hyper Adventure Concept aims to be versatile in power management.

Outdoor-Ready Design

Nissan describes the concept car as having "dynamic body panels that express activity," along with a front spoiler to optimize aerodynamics. To tackle challenging terrains, the vehicle features crampons on all four tires and both front and rear bumpers. This should make traversing snowy areas much easier.

Innovative Features

In a practical twist, the rear of the vehicle sports automatically extendable and retractable steps. These could be a blessing when donning heavy snow gear or preparing for a hike. The rear bench seat can also rotate 180 degrees, offering a comfortable sitting arrangement for pre-adventure preparations.

Interior and Capacity

The interior hosts an instrument panel connected to the bottom of the windshield, serving as a screen with a broad field of view. Seats are constructed from a mix of cloth and straps.

As for storage, Nissan claims the interior can house outdoor gear such as tents, skis, or even a kayak, though exact dimensions have not been disclosed.

Performance and Future Releases

The concept is equipped with Nissan's e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive system, theoretically enabling the vehicle to reach even the most remote destinations. Nissan plans to reveal two more EV concepts during this year's Japan Mobility Show, scheduled for October 17 and October 19.
