Nissan Debuts Three Frontier Concepts At The Chicago Auto Show

At the 2022 Chicago Auto Show, Nissan showcased three truck concepts based on the new Frontier. The Project 72X Frontier is the first concept. It's based on the Crew Cab S 4x4 model and was created as a new twist on the legendary Datsun 720 truck, which debuted in 1979.
Finished in gray exterior paint with retro-inspired designs and sporting a pair of white-painted steel wheels with the same tires as the Pro-4X versions, the 72X Frontier stands out from the competition. Nissan also included a 2.5-inch lift package with flexible front upper suspension arms with the truck. Behind the cab, you'll find a sports bar.
The Nissan D21 "Hardbody" was the inspiration for Project Hardbody, the second concept car exhibited at the Chicago Auto Show. When it was first built, it was a 2022 Frontier Crew Cab SV 4x4, but it has now been modified with a 3-inch lift kit, adjustable upper control arms, Pro-4X-style fender flares, Hardbody block-style wheels wrapped in 33-inch rubber, a spare tire carrier mounted in the bed, a sports bar with 10-inch rectangular LED lights, and a dark front end with door drawings.
Project Adventure, the final of the three, is undoubtedly the most eye-catching. It's based on the Frontier Crew Cab Pro-4X for off-roading, has a large 5-inch raise kit, and rides on 34-inch mud-terrain tires. Nissan also added a Yakima bed rack, a Yakima LoadWarrior roof basket, a sky tent, and a Kicker premium audio system to the truck. Also, a carbon fiber snorkel and a wrap with a picture of the United States have been added.
