Mythical Inspiration, Real-World Luxury: Meet The Buick Electra-GS
by AutoExpert | 22 April, 2025
Buick just showed off its vision for the future with a new concept car called the Electra-GS. It’s their way of saying, “Here’s where we’re headed,” and it definitely leans into the whole electric luxury vibe.
The name? Inspired by a centaur. Yep, the half-human, half-horse creature from Greek mythology. Buick says the design blends grace and strength, kind of like a modern myth on wheels.

According to Buick’s design chief in China, the Electra-GS is a “design manifesto,” showing how they plan to stay stylish and high-tech in the EV world. The Electra-GS is basically a low-slung sedan with a sharply angled rear window and a very sleek, sculpted shape.

The Buick Electra-GS is also huge—over 208 inches long with a 126-inch wheelbase. That makes it longer than a Tesla Model S or even the long version of the Mercedes S-Class.

Inside, the Buick Electra-GS's dash is designed to stay low so you actually have a clear view of the road, and there are two big screens: one for driving info and another for infotainment that both front passengers can use. Buick hasn’t said anything about the motor or range, just that it’s all-electric. Sadly, there’s no word yet on whether it’ll ever actually go into production.
