The Mini Countryman Goes Full Dakar With X-Raid And Delta4x4 Makeover

The Mini Countryman has just undergone a wild transformation, thanks to off-road specialists Delta4x4 and rally legends X-Raid—the same team that’s conquered the Dakar Rally.
The two companies recently teamed up to build the Mini Countryman X-Raid, which was originally shown with a few light mods: new wheels, beefier tires, a slight suspension lift, and some bright orange decals. But that was just the beginning. They’ve now taken things much further, designing a version inspired by X-Raid’s desert-proven rally machines.

Visually, the concept is all about presence. It features massive front and rear fender flares that stretch the body by nearly 8 inches. A bull bar up front adds a bit of rugged protection, while extra LED lights on the grille and roof make sure darkness won’t slow you down. Up top, a full-size roof rack carries everything from snow tracks and a spare wheel to fuel tanks and camping gear.

Delta4x4 added some clever touches too, like storage compartments in the rear windows and decorative tie-down belts across the hood and tailgate. Meanwhile, the matte grey paint finish and bold orange graphics give the Countryman a rally-ready vibe.

This Mini Countryman sits on 18-inch Hanma wheels fitted with heavy-duty all-terrain tires from Loder. Thanks to a rally-tuned suspension setup, it also gets an extra 2 inches of ground clearance, making it much more than just a soft-roader.

X-Raid didn’t say anything about engine upgrades, but the concept appears to be based on the fully electric Mini Countryman SE All4. That version features dual motors producing 308 hp and runs on a 66.5 kWh battery with a range of about 212 miles.

While this wild Mini Countryman isn’t hitting dealerships just yet, X-Raid and Delta4x4 say they’re open to building it in small numbers if there's enough demand.
