In order to bring back driving fun to electrified cars, SAIC Design, the London-based style team behind MG Motor has unveiled the daring new MG Maze concept as a gaming-inspired small EV.

In honor of three essential concepts, the Maze was unveiled as the UK adjusts to a more typical way of life after lockdowns and other pandemic-related difficulties "It's important to have fun. It's critical to make discoveries. It's critical to have a sense of adventure."

Similar to the recently released Cyberster idea, it's aimed at a new generation of vehicle users and heavily borrows from the culture of gaming and mobile game themes. SAIC Design sought to make an automobile that embodied the "at home' gaming experience," they added.

MG Maze concept was created to be a part of a real-world treasure hunt for digital art installations in cities, however, for the time being, it is only available as a digital depiction without going into production. The cockpit has zero-gravity seats, a video game controller, and a screen, making it look more like a gaming suite than a car. It may be accessible through a vertically opening glass canopy.

The vehicle's sharply slanted appearance pays homage to computers that show off their components and boast their processing capacity, while the short overhangs and compact dimensions suggest its potential agility in urban areas. When the canopy door is open, it takes up less room than a typical side-opening door.

The underpinnings of the MG Maze concept remain mysterious because it is a design study aimed for years ahead rather than a prototype for a production vehicle. SAIC claims to have numerous electric motors and an interchangeable battery but has not provided any performance details.
