Mercedes Teases Vision V Concept, Previewing Next-Gen Electric Vans

Mercedes-Benz just confirmed the name of its upcoming van concept: Vision V. It’s a preview of the next-gen Vito and V-Class, and it’s dropping sometime this year before the production version hits the streets in 2026.
They also threw out another teaser, but honestly, it doesn’t show much—just a big Mercedes emblem, a Vision V badge, and some red LED lights that are probably part of the taillights. The brand is hyping it up as a mix of spacious luxury and high-tech design, blending old-school craftsmanship with futuristic touches.

Underneath, it’s riding on the new VAN.EA platform, which will be the base for all sorts of electric vans, from practical family haulers to high-end VIP shuttles and even ultra-lux limos. Based on last year’s teaser, it’s still rocking the classic van shape—not exactly shocking, since there’s only so much you can do before it stops being a van.

Mercedes says all the upcoming electric vans inspired by the Vision V will run an 800-volt setup, come with single or dual-motor options, and have a flagship version that can go over 311 miles on a charge. They’ll start with Level 2 self-driving, but Level 3 and 4 autonomy will roll out later.

Basically, Mercedes is going all in on high-end electric vans, and the Vision V is their way of showing off what’s coming next.
