Meet Starry Sky Automotive, The Startup Aiming For A 1,000-HP Supercar

A small Chinese company most people have never heard of, Starry Sky Automotive, is suddenly aiming very high. The brand has built a supercar prototype and plans to show it publicly next month at CES. And it won’t be the only ambitious newcomer there. Another Chinese startup is also preparing to unveil two separate show cars at the event.
The design doesn’t try to reinvent the supercar rulebook. It sits low to the ground, looks wide and dramatic, and is packed with aggressive aerodynamic elements. Then you notice something unexpected. This thing has four doors, which instantly makes it stand out in a segment that usually sticks to two.

The details get even more interesting when you look closer. The wheels use six lug nuts, something you’d normally expect to see on a large SUV or a pickup truck, not on a sleek performance machine shaped to cut through the air.
Around the back, the car goes all in on drama. There’s a massive rear wing, countless vents and air channels, and a full-width light bar stretching across the tail.

As for what powers it, Starry Sky isn’t saying much yet. Official specs haven’t been released, but reports from Chinese automotive outlets suggest some serious numbers. Power is rumored to be around 1,000 horsepower, with a claimed 0–62 mph time of just 1.8 seconds.
An all-electric setup seems likely, especially given the direction China’s car industry is heading. Some reports even mention the Bugatti Veyron as a reference point, which shows just how confident the company is feeling.

Honestly, it's a bold project backed by some very big promises. Starry Sky Automotive says the goal is to have the car ready for production around 2027. Whether it lives up to the hype remains to be seen.
