Mazda has unveiled the first production car from its new Mazda Spirit Racing sub-brand, and it’s none other than the iconic MX-5. Alongside this, the automaker introduced the CX-60 Rally concept, a sporty take on their midsize SUV.

Visually, the concept stands out with a large rear spoiler and a roof-mounted scoop, both finished in black, along with custom front and rear skid plates. Dark trim and Mazda Spirit Racing emblems on the grille give it an aggressive edge, while quad tailpipes round out the rally-inspired look. The matte wrap with light gray graphics, Spirit Racing lettering, and orange stripes on the fenders adds to the bold appearance.

Inside, Recaro carbon bucket seats with six-point harnesses and a roll cage elevate the concept. The CX-60 Rally sits on new black 20-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels and looks closer to the ground, though Mazda didn’t confirm any suspension changes. It also gets upgraded six-piston calipers for better braking performance.

The CX-60 Rally concept retains the stock 3.3-liter SkyActiv-D mild-hybrid turbodiesel engine. This six-cylinder unit produces 251 hp and 550 Nm of torque, with power sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

This rally concept marks the third model to receive the Mazda Spirit Racing treatment, following the Mazda3 and MX-5. Whether this concept leads to a production version of the CX-60 remains to be seen.
