Hydrogen-Powered Alpine A4810 Supercar Concept Has Been Teased

The Alpine A4810 concept, developed by students in partnership with Alpine, was revealed by IED (Istituto Europeo di Design). The hydrogen-powered supercar will make its online debut on March 18, highlighting the young perception of Alpine's future.

This thesis project involved a total of 28 students from the Master in Transportation Design program (2020-2021), with Alpine's design team contributing to the selection procedure. A two-seater supercar with a hydrogen engine is the final output. 

According to IED, the Alpine A4810 concept embodies the ultimate sportiness of the future, which is more technologically advanced and environmentally friendly. The teaser depicts the vehicle's low and wide posture, with LEDs around the front intakes, fenders extending from the low hood, an aerodynamic greenhouse, and slim LED taillights emerging from the bodywork.

The engine choice was not picked at random, as the Renault Group has been very involved in the hydrogen space recently. Renault already sells compact commercial vehicles with hydrogen fuel cells, and the company has revealed a new hydrogen-powered prototype that will premiere in May.

The IED-designed Alpine A4810 concept car may get factory support, but it's more probable that it will stay a design study, like as previous Alfa Romeo Gloria (2013), Honda Tomo (2019), and Suzuki Misano concepts (2021).
