Hammerhead Concept, combines the American force with the latest technologies!

Andre Costa, a young graduate from Lisbon, created this Hammerhead Concept and managed to promote it among the Michelin Challenge Design finalists. People believed it will become the next American icon since its design was pretty bold and risky

The main purpose of the concept car was to combine the American force with the latest technologies available on the market.

The drive train on this car is pretty unusual since it brings four electric engines working along with a V10 on bio-fuel. This combination allows the car to be powerful and eco-friendly, at the same time. The driver can choose to use only four cylinders for cruising mode or he may engage all ten cylinders in order to get all the power out of the car.

When the internal combustion engine is used, it also charges the batteries for the electric engines. Having both an electric and fuel-based power plant allows the driver to control the car's power better than ever.

The Hammerhead concept surprises through the multitude of exciting ideas that it brings onboard, like a magnetic suspension and the use of recycled materials for the body structure. The wheels come with a pad system integrated, which allows the change of the damaged pad only instead of the entire tire. The special paint used on the car flickers when an electrical device is used and enables the option of embellishing the car's looks.
