Elektron Quasar Electric Hypercar Provides Crazy 2,300 HP

Amid the pandemic, small companies could stop the time a little bit and create crazy concepts similar to other popular brands. This is the exact scenario followed by the small German company, Elektron Motors, that offers now, renderings and details of an all-electric hypercar concept under the name of Quasar. Remember that this is a non-existing car yet, but it's a great idea.

Elektron stated that this Quasar hypercar will be powered by four electric motors which deliver a combined output of 2,300 hp, a rival for the latest Rimac C_Two, Pininfarina Battista, and Lotus Evija. The second wowing news of this concept would be the hypercar's weight - being under 3,307 lbs (1,500 kg).

As you've guessed already, the battery details are left aside until the next time. It's a tiny working process, and Elektron gave up the details towards the battery pack's performance of a 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in less than 1.65 seconds and a top speed of 280 mph (450 km/h). Imagine the adrenaline behind the wheel. It's mindblowing!

The German company released the first images, and you can see its similarities to the Swedish Koenigsegg Jesko design. The resemblance is a little bit foggy, though, because the Quasar features angular headlights on the front, including curved LED daytime running continuous light up to the outer edge of the hood. Other striking details are the carbon fiber canards and an unusual carbon-fiber splitter.

The mentioned similarities to the Koenigsegg are the curved windshield and roof design that almost look identical. The same goes for the engine cover, shark fin, and rear wing. The Elektron designers still identified unique details for the Quasar concept interior, particularly pointing out the digital gauge cluster, a large infotainment screen neatly incorporated into the dashboard, and a display in front of the passenger.

As you've guessed already, Elektron Motors has a chance to stand against its competition by bringing something unexpected to the market. The German company plans to launch the Quasar in 2023, with only 99 units leaving the production line.
