DS Taylor Made N°4 One-Off Concept Showcases Pixelated Lights And Motorsport Style

DS Automobiles recently unveiled something wild at the Brussels Motor Show: the Taylor-made N°4 concept. No, not the golf one. This concept is named after Formula E driver Taylor Barnard, who also had a hand in designing this one-off special, with a mission to combine a racing spirit and a video game flair.
Moving to the front end, the first thing to note is the pixelated headlights, as well as the signature fang-shaped LEDs. The grille, too, is unique, featuring the words “N°4” and an illuminated DS badge. As for the exterior, the car rides lower and wider, with flared fenders, skinny racing-inspired mirrors, and motorsport-inspired door handles.

The details are where it really shines. Custom wheels, a huge rear diffuser with Barnard’s lucky number 77 lit up, and pixelated taillights make it feel like something from the future. Titanium accents replace the usual carbon fiber, a black roof, a split rear spoiler, and small touches of gold and purple finish the look, which is Barnard’s favorite color.

DS didn’t give many tech details, but the regular N°4 lineup comes in hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric. The electric version, called the E-Tense, packs 210 horsepower and a range of around 280 miles.
Barnard said it was a dream to work on: “The N°4 was already my favorite model, so helping design this one-off was amazing. It’s a sports car I could imagine driving every day, and it really shows off the talent of the DS team. They know how to make cars that make you dream.”
