Design Students From California Projected The Lincoln Of 2040

A year ago, Ford collaborated with the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. At the time, students were asked to design the automotive future of 2040.

The project was to be based on the four pillars of Lincoln's "Quiet Flight" philosophy. They are beauty, humanity, agility, and sanctuary. And the bottom line was to get a useful product.

Today, these four pillars sound a bit silly. However, as the experts say, this is what all concepts look like. Nevertheless, the work was done, but the "Quiet Flight" principle did not become predominant. Four groups of students presented four concepts of electric autonomous cars.

This is the unnamed work of Team Anniversary, which Lincoln liked so much that a four-seat car was built. This, according to the brand's management, is what the future of the famous brand should look like. The main thing is that the authors managed to implement the company's old mantra: "this is what a luxury car should look like".

Interestingly, the student work was more interesting than many of Lincoln's production sedans, and it would be only fair for the Anniversary team to get a job at the company's design center.
