DeLorean Presents The Alpha5 Plasmatail And Omega 2040 Concepts

At Pebble Beach, DeLorean provided a sneak peek at two innovative concepts. Both the Alpha5 Plasmatail 2024 and the Omega 2040 show where the company sees itself in the not-too-distant future. In 2024, the Alpha5 Plasmatail, which is effectively a shooting brake variant of the Alpha5, will enter production alongside the coupe.

The Plasmatail has gullwing doors, and the rear hatch may be attached to the roof to form a huge aperture. The rest of the car resembles the Alpha5. The Omega 2040, however, will not be mass-produced.

The Omega 2040 concept represents, according to DeLorean's website, the company's fresh approach to design. The design of the Omega is inspired by Baja racing, so it's not shy. Although DeLorean has announced the Alpha5 Plasmatail will go into production alongside the coupe in 2024, details like price and availability remain unknown.
