Could This Be The Next Fiat Grande Panda 4x4? We Hope So

Fiat is taking its funky little Grande Panda in a more rugged direction with a 4x4 concept. While it's not in production just yet, the company says there's potential for it to become the next chapter in the Panda story.
Right now, the standard Fiat Grande Panda comes with either a 113-horsepower electric setup or a 1.2-liter mild-hybrid engine making 110 horsepower.

Fiat hasn't confirmed exact figures for the 4x4 version, but it's safe to assume it'll pack a bit more punch. What's really interesting, though, is that this concept proves the Stellantis Smart Car platform can handle all-wheel drive—something we haven’t seen yet from other models built on it, like the Citroën C3 or Opel Frontera.

Visually, the Panda 4x4 looks ready for the trail. It’s fitted with chunky plastic cladding, a lifted suspension for more ground clearance, front and rear skid plates, a roof rack with a spare tire, and some extra lights mounted up top.

It’s not official yet, but Fiat clearly wants to test the waters. If the reaction’s good, we might just see this playful little off-roader hit showrooms in the near future.
