Chrysler Plans To Have Three Electric Vehicles On The Road By 2028

By 2028, Chrysler will have three electric cars, up from zero now. During the Consumer Electronics Show, Chris Feuell, the company's CEO, hinted at the company's future plans. All of Chrysler's next electric vehicles, according to Feuell, will be built on the STLA Large platform. They'll stand out from the rest of Stellantis' electric lineup.

Chrysler's first electric vehicle will be a production version of the Airflow concept shown at this year's Consumer Electronics Show. The dealer-only version will feature styling that is close to the display vehicle but not identical. The EV is expected to debut in 2024, with the model year of 2025.

Chrysler will deliver one or two electric crossovers by 2028 after the production version of the Airflow, according to Feuell. A minivan with a new approach is another EV on the way, according to the executive, and it's not just a new powerplant on a Pacifica. However, the precise timing of this vehicle remains a mystery.

The STLA Large chassis has a range of up to 500 miles (805 km) utilizing batteries with capacities ranging from 101 to 118 kilowatt-hours, according to Chrysler's corporate parent Stellantis. STLA Small, Medium, and Frame versions are also coming soon. Electric drive modules with a horsepower range of 201 to 443 will be used in the STLA Large (150 to 330 kilowatts). The motor, transmission, and inverter are all included in these packages.
