Chrysler Might Be Coming Back… But Not How You Expect
by AutoExpert | 30 March, 2026
Chrysler is not done yet, and Stellantis is starting to show it. There is real interest in bringing the brand back, and one idea points to a new sedan, or something close to it.
However, do not expect a direct replacement for the Chrysler 300. It will not follow the Dodge Charger either. The direction is completely different.

There is still work going on in the background. The design team is testing ideas and trying to define what Chrysler should be. The focus sits on modern simplicity and innovative practicality, which points to a different kind of product.
That likely means a mix of segments. Not a traditional sedan, not a typical SUV. It could be a taller sedan, a lower crossover, or something that blends both.
The logic is clear. Buyers care about space, comfort, and driving feel. The label matters less. That gives Chrysler room to explore what Scott Krugger called “white space opportunities.”

This also fits Chrysler’s identity. The brand has always leaned toward simple, practical ideas with clean design. Now it needs to bring that back in a way that stands out.
Nothing is confirmed yet. There is no official model announced. Concepts like the Chrysler Halcyon already hinted at this direction, even if plans slowed down.
For now, the message is simple. Chrysler is still part of the plan, but the comeback will not follow the old formula. More details should come in May.
