Callum’s Modern Jaguar E-Type Concept Stays Classy With A Manual And A V12

Ian Callum, the design legend responsible for cars like the Aston Martin Vanquish, Jaguar F-Type, and countless others, is back in the spotlight. This time, he’s putting his signature touch on one of the most iconic British sports cars ever: the Jaguar E-Type.
What you’re looking at here is Callum’s take on a modernized E-Type. For now, it’s just a digital concept, but if the right person comes along with the right-sized checkbook, this beauty could be built for real. It’s part of his “Portfolio Project,” which also includes an off-road-ready SUV called the Grampian.

Now, before the purists panic—no, he hasn’t butchered the design. In fact, the Jaguar E-Type’s proportions are more planted; it’s lower, a bit wider, and sits on clean, tri-spoke alloys. The headlights get a sleek new housing with an LED upgrade, and the taillights are lightly tweaked. Twin exhausts poke out the back, hinting this car still means business.

Inside, the designer added a few smart upgrades. Instead of ripping everything out for a full digital overhaul, Callum keeps the charm intact. The center-mounted gauges are now digital displays, showing things like nav and CarPlay. Overall, the vibe remains classic—think factory style, just with a few modern conveniences thrown in. However, if you’re the buyer, you can go full bespoke on the interior.

Best of all, it’s not an EV. Look closely, and you’ll spot a five-speed manual right where it belongs. While we don’t have confirmed specs, Callum hints that it’ll pack either a V12 or a punchy V8 under the hood. Basically, it’s built to drive, not just sit in a showroom. So, will this stunner actually see the light of day? That depends on demand.
