BYD Yangwang R1 Off-Road SUV Render Is A Must-See

Shortly after BYD introduced its high-end electric vehicle brand, Yangwang, stories of an off-road SUV began to circulate. The Yangwang R1 luxury SUV was created with the sole purpose of excelling on rough terrain.

The SUV has been extensively disguised. However, the structure's fundamentals are still discernible. Many digital artists provided us with renderings to assist us even more. It's important to note the SUV's boxy shape, high ride height, and little front and rear overhangs.

Many elements, like the three lidars at the top, are preserved in the drawings. Yangwang's logo is seen on the front grille, and there are LED daytime running lights in a dot matrix design. Both a 5-seat and a 7-seat variant of the vehicle will be made available by BYD.

The new BYD Yangwang R1 SUV will be available with electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains that can produce up to 650 horsepower. Every model will include a four-wheel drive. Four-wheel steering with crab mode will be included on the high-end models, allowing for more precise control while driving off-road.

The Yangwang R1 is expected to have a starting price of about 800,000 yuan ($111,000), making it the most expensive BYD ever.
