This car concept has been presented to the world in Shanghai. This is a coupe that manages to beautifully blend the latest technologies with the avant-garde style. Having a propulsion system based on the hybrid plugin, this is the fourth concept coming from the joined forces of GM Shanghai GM and Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (Patac).

According to the Shanghai GM CEO, Ye Yongming, this Buick Riviera concept is a teaser of what the future Buick cars will be bringing to the world. Modern design, advanced gadgets - these are some of the main features that are mandatory in the new era opening ahead of the 110 years old brand.

The car's design is inspired directly from water, literally. Fine transitions, subtle lines - you may even compare this concept car's design with a flowing river.

Ed Welburn, GM's vice president, stated that this Buick is a design study expressing the brand's future looks. It is actually a chance to show the entire world the strategy concerning the future Buick's creation process.

The tridimensional body of the Buick Riviera reminds us of the ocean waves, in a dynamic environment. The front grille coming in the shape of a waterfall and the wing-shaped daylights are to be perceived as key elements of the upcoming Buick cars.

Style and performance are graciously balanced in this car, blending in a 14-degree fastback design. The spoilers are made of metal fiber.

When it comes to the interior of the car, it is obviously signed by the brand Buick. Elegance is the main characteristic of what you will be found in the cabin. Aluminum alloy in sand color, Chinese jade wood, high-quality leather - these is just a few of the details present inside of this car. Luxurious objects will be surrounding the driver, transforming his driving into a smooth, elegant experience.

Talking about the console, we must mention that it is placed in the center and is compact. There is a sound-absorbing system, which will withhold all of the unnecessary sounds coming from outside.

One of the latest technological gadgets installed on the new Buick Riviera is the Buick Intelligent Performance (BIP). There is also a wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion system and the driver can drive the car by using only the green energy when it is in the electric mode. Nevertheless, this will not diminish the sport car performances, so no worries there.

You will have the most comfortable conditions when driving this car. There is a mobile internet system, which will impress the driver and passengers with its high speed.

The security system of this car is pretty advanced, as well. It has 10 transition cameras and 18 sensors, which provide complete information into a holographic image.

Thus, thanks to that, the driver and the passenger are safe. All of the above is completed with additional functions, like night view, eco traffic alert system, cruise control, and many more.
