Arrival Unveils Specially Constructed EV For Ride-Hailing Services

Arrival has shown its first car prototype, extending the firm beyond electric buses and delivery vans. The prototype, which was conceived with the help of Uber drivers and completed in six months, is designed exclusively for ride-hailing services.

The prototype is around the same size as a Volkswagen Golf and has a boxy form that maximizes room, according to Arrival. A huge windscreen that extends into a panoramic glass roof. Aerodynamic wheels, a big greenhouse, and a virtually vertical front fascia have also been added to the Car.

The cabin maintains the basic style since the model is largely free of physical switchgear. Alternatively, there's a standalone infotainment system that controls the majority of the vehicle's operations and is designed to display ride-hailing-specific data.

According to Arrival, the vehicle boasts twice the legroom of a similar automobile and even more legroom than a Rolls Royce. To enhance back seat legroom, the front passenger seat may be folded down and shifted forward, partially fitting below the dash. The Car was created with "cost, uptime, driver comfort, safety, and convenience" as top priorities.

This is vital since the average ride-hailing car travels between 27,962 and 31,069 miles (45,000 and 50,000 km) every year, according to the business. The Car will be tested by Arrival next year.
