The celebration of 15 years of the Gran Turismo game inspired Mercedes-Benz to create a sportive super car that can be added to the Gran Turismo 6 collection by a simple online update.
Mercedes took a step further and presented a real-size prototype at the opening of the new Mercedes Benz Research and Development Center in California in 2013.
Kazunori Yamauchi, the one who produced the Gran Turismo series and the President of Polyphony Digital Inc, has set the target for the designers to create a future car, based on the Vision Gran Turismo theme. The result is an apparently aggressive car, which comes in a pure form of the brand's philosophy, involving some of the latest hi-tech systems.
In spite of Mercedes AMG Vision being just a digital car, the creators have provided some technical specifications. The concept will be powered by a twin turbo V8 engine, producing 585 hp at 800 Nm torque. The weight of the car is just as realistic, reaching 1385 kg.
