A V12-Powered Rapide Revived: Aston Martin’s Dream Four-Door Supercar
by AutoExpert | 17 February, 2025
Aston Martin's all about the DBX these days, but there's still a lot of love for the Rapide, especially from enthusiasts (ourselves included). The Rapide was a unique sedan that embodied the essence of Aston—classy, fierce, and exuberant in all the right ways.
But even though Aston is leaning into SUVs, the idea of a new, more powerful Rapide won’t fade away anytime soon. So, let’s imagine a new version of the Aston Martin Rapide, based on the new Vanquish.

For starters, take the Vanquish’s gorgeous design and stretch the wheelbase a bit to give it more room in the back. The front end would still be aggressive, with a longer hood and more sculpted body lines. There’d be some nods to muscle sedans, but it would stay elegant and refined. The back would have sleek LED lights, a sculpted bumper, and a bold diffuser to keep things sporty.
Inside, it would be focused on the driver, with a clean digital display and tactile physical controls that just feel right. Expect the best in leather and carbon fiber trim, plus a Bowers & Wilkins sound system for the ultimate in audio quality. Rear passengers would get their share of luxury too, with massaging seats, lots of legroom, and all the comfort you’d want for a long drive.

Under the hood, it's a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 from the Vanquish, giving 823 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque. It would do 0–60 mph in under 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed near 200 mph. Adaptive suspension would make sure the ride is both smooth and exciting.
This kind of car would be up against rivals like the Porsche Panamera Turbo S, Mercedes-AMG GT 63 E, and Bentley Flying Spur. But for now, this V12-powered dream car will have to stay a drawing.
