2023 Peugeot 4008 Coupe-SUV Envisaged With A Sleek Profile

Between 2012 and 2017, Peugeot 4008 was a Mitsubishi-based B-SUV. Even though the 2008 took its place, rumors have circulated since 2018 that the 4008 moniker may return on a coupe version of the bigger 3008. Today, it may rival the Audi Q3 Sportback, BMW X2, Mazda CX-30, or perhaps the Renault Arkana.

The 4008 might resemble a crossover owing to a thin profile, an aerodynamic roofline, and a contoured profile with strong wheel arches, as seen in the speculative picture made by Jean Francois Hubert/SB-Medien for CarScoops.

The new Peugeot symbol will be surrounded by LED headlights with vertical expansions on the black-painted bumper, as well as complicated fake intakes. Within, we anticipate the vehicle to share the iCockpit dash with the 3008, which means a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen. Ambient lighting and high-quality upholstery fabrics, along with Stellantis' high-tech technology, would let the Peugeot 4008 compete with recognized luxury manufacturers.

According to the newest reports, the coupe-SUV will be available in four distinct plug-in hybrid variants, each of which would combine a turbocharged 1.6-liter PureTech petrol engine with one or two electric engines and a 12.4 kWh lithium-ion battery.

Those might comprise two front-wheel-drive PHEVs with a combined output of 177 hp (132 kW / 180 PS) and 222 hp (165 kW / 225 PS), as well as two all-wheel-drive PHEVs with 296 hp (221 kW / 300 PS) and 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS), based on existing Peugeot products.

Peugeot 4008 is slated to arrive in 2022, so we'll certainly learn more about it in the following months, along with any prototype appearances.
