Yamaha to introduce a both wheel drive electric motorcycle and the Tokyo Motor Show!

They speak of unheard-of levels of performance from this EV motorbike!
It will be known as the PES2, and it's the next generation from the PES1 concept of 2013 and appears like it may be close to being a production model and not just a concept.
They don't reveal its power output, only that there are brushless motors driving the two wheels, one integral to the front wheel hub and the other on the chassis driving the rear wheel by chain.
It has a removable battery pack they call a Smart Power Module. We are guessing it will be easily removable so it can be taken inside for charging.
Yamaha is the first major motorcycle manufacturer to get into the EV market and could possibly have it ready for sales by 2016.
