With A Special Bentayga, Bentley Mulliner Marks 1,000 Bespoke Masterpieces

Since its inception in 2014 as Bentley's dedicated design team, Mulliner has just delivered its 1,000th project. The buyer was from Europe, and they needed distinct interior features for their Bentayga.

The customer's initial request was for Olive Ash veneer, which is characteristic of the Mulsanne, and the customer's second request was for a contrasting twin stitch to be used on the seat uppers and door trims. This Bentayga isn't the most difficult project Mulliner has attempted. However, it's truly fascinating, as it features an eggplant over tan color scheme with black exterior details, in addition to its unique status.

Back seven years, Mulliner's first project was a small batch of 15 Flying Spurs with revised seats and headrests, as well as an original diamond-quilted pattern on the cabin fabric. The Continental GT Mulliner is still available with the pattern.

Paul Williams, Director of Mulliner and Motorsport, commented on the achievement: "Since 2014, our Mulliner Design team has averaged three customer commissions per week, demonstrating just how popular bespoke Bentleys are now." The staff has worked on everything from Continental GT3 liveries to the specifications and nuances of the 12 cars in the Blower Continuation Series, supervised by Design Manager Phill Dean. The only thing that any of those designs have in connection is that they are all for particular consumers. Otherwise, they are all completely different.

Through the use of the unique Mulliner visualizer, which permits our customers to choose the color and trim details of their cars with a real-time photorealistic depiction of the result, the company has now brought the extent of what is possible with a standard production Bentley to reality. Everyone can now participate in the co-creation stage with Mulliner designers.
