Will Lexus GS Get Ditched Soon?
by AllAutoExperts | 17 April, 2020
According to a recent report, the Lexus GS model might be discontinued next year. This might happen in 2018, the year when the next-gen model was supposed to be launched.
It is believed that Toyota has decided to suspend the development of the next-gen GS because the model doesn't fit in the car maker's range, anymore.

The main reason is that the V8 engine that is currently powering the LS model should be ditched in favor of a V6 engine. This way, the model would overlap with the currently V6-powered GS.

GS was never among the favorite models of the company's management. Back in 2011, Akio Toyoda, the executive director of the company, has stated that he never wanted to see the model get into production.
